The Washington Wizards Black-Owned DMV video series highlights the importance of Black-Owned businesses in our community. This season, the Wizards will integrate local Black-Owned businesses into our game day presentation and share interviews dedicated to each business's story. As our nation struggles with the impact of this global pandemic and racial injustice, it's especially important to recognize the immense legacy that Black-Owned businesses in our own backyard have had and will continue to have.

Volt Energy Utility, LLC is an African-American owned national utility-scale solar developer occupying a very unique position in our industry sector. Volt Energy Utility’s (www.voltenergyutility.com) commitment to clean energy and environmental justice is embedded in our core mission and practiced in every aspect of our business. Over eleven years ago, Volt Energy Utility Founder and CEO Gilbert Campbell co-founded Volt Energy which developed several distributed generation solar roof top projects. In 2020, he founded a separate and distinct company Volt Energy Utility, LLC, established with the primary mission to provide services and expertise to satisfy the increased demand for utility-scale solar. In 2021, Volt signed an agreement with Microsoft to supply the corporation with 250 megawatts of solar power.
